This week is all about CopperState Fly-in. We are getting ready for Copper State Fly-in that starts Thursday and goes through Saturday at the Casa Grande Airport.
Taxi Time
Well there was time to do some more taxi time on Ron’s Lightning…up and Back and back again.
Then the bosses got into a Lightning and took off to Casa Grande early this morning and I was standing in the dust again. Beautiful morning and the weather is great!
This beautiful Lightning will be on display at Casa Grande and is for sale – you may not want to build your own after seeing this one.
Dan and Gary are on their way to Casa Grande to set up and bring the bosses back. I missed their departure, but then how exciting is it to see the van going down the runway.
I will be ironing Lightning shirts today. We all have new black ones…Greg already had a black one and blue and pink. He likes to wear black-something about Johnny Cash and no target on my back…

Since 1971, the COPPERSTATE Fly-In & Aviation Expo has been a great place to see a diverse blend of aircraft in action, attend informative workshops and check out the latest, greatest aviation products. In its 42nd year, this year’s fly-in — scheduled for Thurs, Oct. 23rd, 2014 - Sat, Oct. 25th, 2014 at the Casa Grande Municipal Airport in Casa Grande, Ariz. — promises to be no exception.
Admissions open at 8am each day of the flyin and closes at 5pm.

Since its first event in 1973, the COPPERSTATE Fly-In has been bringing together aviation enthusiasts in the southwest United States.
COPPERSTATE Fly-In, Inc. is a totally volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting recreational and general aviation through events, scholarships and public education. Proceeds from the COPPERSTATE Fly-In help support scholarship programs for youth seeking careers in the aerospace industry.
The COPPERSTATE Fly-In is under the sole ownership, control and operation of COPPERSTATE Fly-In, Inc. and not the Experimental Aircraft Association Inc. (EAA).
COPPERSTATE is the largest Fly-In of its type in the western United States and the fourth largest Fly-In in the United States. It is held at the Casa Grande Municipal Airport (KCGZ) in Casa Grande, AZ. Casa Grande is located approximately halfway between Phoenix and Tucson.
